Biz New Orleans features GNOFN Announcement

NEW ORLEANS – Alicia Oliver is the new executive director of the Greater New Orleans Funder Network.

“As a co-founder and the current co-chair of the Greater New Orleans Funders Network, I share in the board’s excitement to have Alicia join the team,” said Flozell Daniels Jr., CEO of the Mary Reynolds Babcock Foundation. “Alicia is a well-known, well-practiced leader in philanthropy, nonprofit, and community spaces who is known for her integrity, deep commitment to equitable philanthropic practice, and grounded understanding of Greater New Orleans communities.”

Prior to joining GNOFN, Oliver was education grants program director at Baptist Community Ministries, where she took charge of initiatives to improve educational outcomes and shaped the foundation’s emphasis on early education. She has also served with the GPOA Foundation, the historic Dryades YMCA, and the YMCA of the USA.

“With our collective expertise, dedication, and vision, GNOFN will continue to serve as a place for its members to learn with and from each other through action tables and convenings,” said Oliver. “I am both honored and committed to guiding and supporting the network on the exciting journey that lies ahead.”
